Born somewhere in the middle of seven brothers and sisters, Agnes was raised like a homeschooled, free range chicken in Ojai, California.
Her parents opted out of television and filled every room with bookcases full of illustrated stories. She started art lessons at 8 after studying every Tasha Tudor and Marguerite de Angeli book available to her. There, her obsession with the magic of children's literature was born.
She has taught art to every age group from toddlers to the elderly and been featured in publications including Better Homes and Gardens, Apartment Therapy, Houzz and DIY Magazine. She has collectors throughout the US, Switzerland, and Australia.
These days, she lives in a little midcentury home in Dallas with her husband and two children and never lets chartreuse feel like a second class citizen. Her lifelong motto? Every color is beautiful just the way it is and life is too short not to fill it up with whimsy and beauty.
